Today, my most annoying class group asked me if I hate them. “No,” I said, “what makes you think that?” (I didn’t mention that I do hate teaching them at times – but I was afraid that maybe it showed that I’m not always too happy teaching them)

Apparently quite some other teachers had expressed that sentiment towards them, because they are noisy (true) and don’t cooperate in class (also true). The English teacher had each of them write an essay on respect. Wonder if that’s going to make things better.

Anyway, it’s the holidays now so I won’t be seeing them for a while. I’m hoping they’ll calm down a bit so classes will run more smoothly, for me and for my colleagues.
